South Iowa Native Dies At Age Of 76
Mrs. Mary Watts Post, 76, died at 6:45 PM Monday at her home in Ottumwa route 4. She was the daughter of John and Elizabeth Foster and was born in Davis County, November 17, 1861. She had lived in Ottumwa for the last four years.
Surviving are three sons, Harvey Post, Ottumwa route 4, John, Ottumwa route 4, Everett, North Platte, Nebraska; three daughters, Dora at home, Mrs. Flora Harridge, Bloomfield and Mrs. Lola Saner, Floris; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and four sisters, Mrs. Alice Burnight, Seattle, Washington, Mrs. Lydia Dyer, Floris, Mrs. Eliza Parker, Floris, and Mrs. Emma Stodgill, Bloomfield. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hiram, in 1936, and by one son and one daughter. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 AM in the Johnson funeral Chapel, conducted by the Rev. A. D.
McClure. Burial will be in the Fiedler cemetery.
