E. D. Hendrickson Of Ottumwa Dies
Resident of Southeastern Iowa Entire Life Was Born In Drakesville In 1863.
Elijah Dawson Hendrickson, 73, died at 1:10 AM Sunday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Earl Mowery, 317 N. Sheridan Ave. Also the father of Mrs. E. C.
Vossler of Ottumwa, Mr. Hendrickson was a native Iowan having lived in the southeastern part of the state all his life. He was born February 14, 1863, the son of Elijah and Eva Hendrickson of Drakesville. At 13 years of age he went Centerville, remaining there about 30 years. About 30 years ago he came to Ottumwa. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Vossler and Mrs. Mowery; one son, Willard of Rock Island; two sisters, Mrs. T. J. Fuller and Mrs. C. E.
Brokaw of Waterloo, and one granddaughter, Josephine of Rock Island. His wife Mary Ellen, preceded him in death about 10 months ago. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Tuesday in the Lester Jay funeral home, conducted by the Rev.
David Crockett. Burial be in the Memorial Lawn cemetery.
