SECOND IOWA REGIMENT

We learn that Gov. Kirkwood has accepted, on certain conditions, of a 2d Iowa Regiment, to be composed of two companies from Davenport, and one company each from Lyons, Des Moines, Keokuk, Ottumwa, Bloomfield, Keosauqua and Fairfield. The Iowa City Republican says Senator Grimes has gone to Washington to ask their acceptance by the government.
