ERNEST E KINSINGER- For nearly 25 years Ernest E Kinsinger has held the office of Secretary and Treasurer of the Farmers Life Insurance Company of Des Moines, which tenure of service, most ably rendered has placed him in the front rank of the capital cityís insurance men.
Born in Davis County, June 5, 1892, Ernest E Kinsinger is a son of Peter I and Cora E (Sloane) Kinsinger both of whom are now deceased. Peter Kinsinger, a native of Lineville, Missouri, engaged in the mercantile business; his wife was born in Davis County. Ernest E Kinsinger was educated in the elementary schools and high school of Davis County and also took a commercial course in business school.
After completing his education, he worked in the general store which was conducted by his father in Drakesville. In 1919, Mr Kinsinger became associated with the Merchants Life Insurance Company of Des Moines, and he worked with this company until 1923. In that year he became associated with the Farmers Life Insurance Company in the capacity of Auditor and in 1925 was made secretary and treasurer of this company. He has served in this capacity since.
During World War I, Mr Kinsinger served in the United States Army. He is a member of the Christian Science Church, and in politics is a Republican. Fraternally, he is affiliated with Capital Lodge No 110, Ancient Free and Accepted Masons and with all bodies of both the York and Scottish rites, and Za-Ga-Zig Temple of the Ancient Arabic Order of Nobles of the Mystic Shrine. He is a charter member of Argonne Post of the American Legion. Mr Kinsingerís favorite outdoor recreations are fishing and golf.
In 1922 Ernest E Kinsinger married Francis Gregory, a native of Garden City, Kansas. They have 1 daughter, Morine Frances, a graduate of Drake University, where she received the Bachelor of Arts degree in 1943, and that of Master of Arts in 1944.
