Dickson, Rachel Lowry was born 22 Mar 1801 in Rockingham County, VA., the daughter of Joseph and Nancy Ann Ocheltree Lowry. She married Richard Lowthian Dickson in Scott County, Indiana on 20 Nov 1825. He was born in Scotland on 14 May 1767, the son of Rev Jacob and Janet Richardson Dickson. Rachel and Richard were the parents of: John Jacob who married Mary Eliza Parker and Wm Martin who married Anne Maria Parker. Richard Dickinson died 8 Jan 1835 in Scott Co., IN., and his wife, Rachel, died 26 Aug 1857 in Davis County, IA. Source; Davis County, Iowa Book of Deeds, 16 Aug 1854.
