Joyce (Hill) Rutledge

Joyce Ann (Hill) Rutledge, age 83, passed away peacefully at home in the presence of family, as was her wish.

Joyce was born, the daughter of Mamie Maria (Hanks) Hill and Carlos Howard Hill of Leroy, Ohio at Painesville, Ohio.

Joyce was preceded in death by her daughter, Katherin "Kate" Hill and just recently, by her husband and loving soul mate, John Perry Rutledge of Adel, Iowa, and her first husband, Charles A. Hill.

Joyce is survived by her sister, Carole Beres; younger nephew, James Schribner; niece, Sally Demer; son, Charles (Mary) Hill & Douglas Hill & faithful companion "Chai"; daughters, Marjorie (Lawrence) Bruen, Louise (David) Kloss & faithful companion "Peanut"; seven grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

Joyce is also survived by the children of adoring husband Perry. Scott (Janna) Rutledge; daughter, Barbara (Ted) Raife; Jean Couch; nine grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be 7:00 PM Thursday, September 4th at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel, where family will greet friends from 5-7 PM.
