Donna Lou Meyers, 79, died Friday, October 18, 2013, at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 23, at the Church of the Brethren in Dallas Center. Private inurnment will be held at the Brethren Cemetery in Dallas Center.

Donna was born on May 23, 1934, in Redfield to Ambrose and Jessie (Hill) Mylan. She married Dan Meyers on August 14, 1957, and they made their home in the Dallas Center area. Donna worked in food service at Dallas Center-Grimes Schools and Spurgeon Manor and later provided daycare out of her home. She enjoyed reading, listening to music, knitting and participating in church activities. Donna loved spending time with her grandchildren, hosting many sleepovers and family dinners.

Donna is survived by her husband of 56 years, Dan, her children Michael Meyers, Richard Meyers, and Melanie (Rick) Enterline all of Dallas Center, Luann (Gary) Paglia and Nancy (Barry) Hagelberg, both of Minburn; eleven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and her brother Keith Mylan of Redfield. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Virgil and Lloyd; and three grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5 - 7 p.m. Tuesday at Iles-Brandt Chapel in Dallas Center. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of the Brethren or Mercy Hospice in Johnston. Online condolences may be sent to IlesCares.com.
