Irma Spauldin, 89, died on October 5, 2011 at the Rowley Masonic Home in Perry. Visitation will be held at the Carris Family Funeral Home on Friday October 7, 2011 from 1 to 8 p.m. with family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Services will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Perry on Saturday October 8, 2011 at 10 a.m. with burial following at Violet Hill Cemetery.
Irma was born November 1, 1921 to William and Elizabeth (Spraker) Skinner and lived most of her life in the Dawson and Perry area. She married Jack Spauldin on September 21, 1941. Irma enjoyed golfing, bingo, crocheting, sewing, quilting and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Perry Golf and Country Club, as well as several bridge clubs.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Robinson (David Battani) and son Steve (Jane), five grandchildren, Jamie (Jim) Chapman, Brian (Julie) Robinson, Brad (Era) Robinson, Megan Spauldin, Breon Spauldin, six great-grandchildren, sister, Donna Conaway, and brothers, Richard and Renefred Skinner.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Jack, her parents, five siblings and a great-granddaughter, Emma.
Memorial contribution may be made to Iowa Hospice or American Cancer Society.
