Cecilia Corsiglia, 88, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at the Village of Legacy Point in Waukee. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, October 17, 2011 at Our Lady's Immaculate Heart Catholic Church, 510 E. 1st Street, Ankeny.
Cecilia was born March 3, 1923 in Chicago, Illinois. She received her bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. Cecilia worked as a math teacher her entire life for the Chicago City Schools and Glenbrook Community Schools.
Survivors include her daughter, Rosemary (Richard) Hutchinson of Ankeny; grandson, Christopher (Gail) Hutchinson of Ankeny; step granddaughters, Julie (Paul) Rozeboom and Jody (Gary) Larson; two great-grandchildren; and 5 step-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Louis Corsiglia; parents; and brother, Leo Cutaia.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Our Lady's Immaculate Heart or Iowa Hospice.
