Arlene Randolph, 85, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Wednesday, January 11, at the First Presbyterian Church in Grimes, with burial to follow at Sunny Hill Cemetery in Grimes.
Arlene was born August 7, 1926 in Herrold, Iowa, the daughter of Thomas and Mildred Oyres. She lived most of her life in the Grimes area. Arlene was married to John Randolph for 54 years. She retired from Pioneer Hi-Bred in 1986. Arlene loved family events, fishing, traveling, casino excursions and especially camping. She will be remembered for her unselfish and giving spirit, always ready to help anyone who needed it. Arlene was a generous and loving wife, mom, grandma and great-grandma.
She is survived by her three children, Marlene Grim, Debby Keiser and John Tracey Randolph; three grandsons; and five great-grandchildren. Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, John on December 4, 2010.
The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m., on Tuesday, January 10, at Iles Funeral Homes, Brandt Chapel in Dallas Center.
Memorial gifts may be made to the family for a living memorial or to First Presbyterian Church in Grimes.
