Carl Christiansen, Jr, 73, of Waukee, IA passed away on August 8, 2012 in Des Moines, IA. Visitation will be Monday, August 13, 2012 from 9:30 to 11 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m., both at Ernst Funeral Home, Waukee. Burial to follow at Sunny Hill Cemetery in Grimes, IA.
Carl was a member of Local #33 for 37 years. His last job before retiring was the building of Prairie Meadows; in which he continued working at in the commissary for a year and a half. His passions were Pabst Blue Ribbon, his Jaguar and the Chicago Cubs.
He is survived by his loving wife Betty; children Kevin Christiansen, Kim (Bill) Fields, Steven German, Susan (Jim) Gesualdo, Scott (Deb) McWhirter, Steve McWhirter, Shannon McWhirter and Stacey McWhirter; grandchildren Zach, Nickolas, Hali, Noah and Tylar; sister Cheryl Peltzman and brother Donald (Gloria) Ruggles.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed towards the family.
