Tuesday, December 5, 1972Services will be at 1:30 p.m. today at the United Methodist Church in Dexter for Mrs. Amy Simcoke, 86, of 1729 Grand Ave., who died Friday at the Riverview Manor nursing home after suffering a stroke.
Burial will be at a Dexter cemetery under the direction of the Roy Evans Funeral Home there.
Mrs. Simcoke was born at Wilton Junction. She lived in Des Moines for 20 years and also lived in Ames and Dexter.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church here and the Order of Eastern Star, Waveland Park chapter.
Survivors include two sons, Merritt of Des Moines and Forrest of Apple Valley, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Allen Percy of Dexter, Mrs. Eva Brooks of Bouton and Mrs. Ruth Nelson of San Bernardino, Calif.; two grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
