The many friends and neighbors were grieved to hear of the death of Thomas Distin last Friday. Mr. Distin has been ill for several weeks and suffered much. He is one of the old time residents of Penn having made his home in southeast Penn for a number of years until recently when he moved to Dexter not being able to do the work on the farm.

A number of friends from Penn attended the funeral in Dexter Sunday. Interment was made in the Dexter cemetery. Many extend their sympathy to the bereaved wife and daughter.
