Eltha A. Fosher, elder daughter of Jim and Martha Fosher, of Winterset was born November 21, 1865 and passed away at the Winterset hospital at 8:45 p.m. at the age of 72 years, 25 days, after a short illness.

She was united in marriage to Francis Marion Archer of Winterset, September 14, 1882. To this union was born four daughters, Bessie, Beryl, Grace and Nellie.

Mr. Archer passed away May 27, 1917.

In 1918 she was married to Albert A. Davis of Liberty Center, who passed away August 29, 1935.

Since then she has resided in Patterson.

She was a kind, loyal wife and a dear, affectionate mother, and always extended a helping hand to those in need of her help.

She joined the Christian church at the age of thirteen and as baptized in the river at Patterson. She has always been a staunch believer in her Lord. She will be sadly missed in her home and by a host of friends and relatives who knew and loved her for her sweet sunny disposition.

She is survived by one daughter Nellie C. Johnson of Winterset, three sisters, Mrs. George Greenfield of Jamaica, Mrs. Frank Finley and Mrs. Elmer Hanman, both of Woodward, two brothers, Chris of Olympia, Wash., and Otis of Clinton, Minn., and five grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted from Tidricks funeral home at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 19th, by Rev. H. L. Olmstead. Interment was made in the Dexter cemetery.
