Bertha Louise Fett, daughter of Anna Maria Jung and Jacob Matz, was born March 16, 1886 in Dexter, Iowa and passed away December 22, 1974 in Iowa Methodist Hospital, Des Moines, Iowa.

On February 14, 1906 she was united in marriage to Louis Daniel Fett and five children were born to this union. In 1936 the family moved to Casey, Iowa and Bertha moved to Des Moines in 1950. She was a member of the Highland Park Lutheran Church. For the past three years Bertha has been a resident of the Community Care Center in Stuart.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Louis, one daughter, Verain Jones, and one son, Claire LeRoy Fett.

Surviving are three sons: Dale of Des Moines, Iowa, Howard and Maurice of San Pavlo, California, seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandson.

Rev. Norman Luecht officiated at the funeral service Thursday, December 26, 1974 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Dexter, Iowa. Mrs. Paul Clausen provided organ music for the congregational singing. Assisting with the floral tributes were Mrs. Rich Clausen and Mrs. Jim Clausen. Merle Tibben served as usher. Casket bearers were: Kenneth Brinton, Robert Marsh, Pete Schafer, Carl Jobst, Paul Clausen, and Norman Scar. Interment was in the Dexter Cemetery.
