Jess Tate, 72, of Carlisle passed away December 26 at Veterans Hospital in Des Moines following a year’s illness.

Survivors include his wife, Loreah, two daughters, Mrs. R. C. Beckman of Van Horne and Mrs. C. J. Thrailkill of Corpus Christi, Texas; three sisters, Mamie Burnham, Mary Keltner of Redfield, Ella Smithson of Reno, Nevada, and three brothers, Charley of Belle Plaine, Ben of Redfield and Carl of Coralville.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Dec. 29 from the Richardson Funeral Home at Carlisle with interment in the cemetery at Dexter.
