Last Rites Held Sunday For Warren W. Hawn
Passed Away Thursday

Funeral services for Warren W. Hawn,71, Dexter farmer who passed away last Thursday were held Sunday at the Dexter Methodist church with the pastor, Rev. Paul Textor officiating. Robert Lawson, soloist, sang “In The Garden” and “The Old Rugged Cross”, with Mrs. K. M. Chapler at the organ. Casketbearers were: Earnest Antle, Mervin and Russell Wells, James Adkins, Ralph Garland and Roy Zuck. Mrs. Mervin Wells and Mrs. Roy Zuck took charge of the flowers. Interment was in the Dexter cemetery.

Obituary
Warren W. Hawn, son of John and Alice Hawn, was born April 23, 1885 near Winterset, and passed away at his home near Dexter on December 27, 1956, at the age of 71 years, 8 months and 4 days.
On July 12, 1917 he was united in marriage to Ethel Grimes. To this union were born three children.

Mr. Hawn was engaged in farming north of Adel for 25 years. The last 15 years were spent farming near Madrid and Dexter.

He is survived by his wife, Ethel; two sons, Willard of Tarpon Springs, Florida and Lewis of Des Moines; one daughter, Mrs. Mildred Dean of Woodward; eight grandchildren, Mrs. Darlene Hawn Schospkel of Belvidere, Illinois; Mrs. Clarice Hawn Fidder, also of Belvidere; James and Helen Dean of Woodward; Lindy, Shelly, Shellia & Steve Hawn of Des Moines; one sister, Mrs. John Pritchard of Des Moines; also a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.

Mr. Hawn was a wonderful husband and father, and will be greatly missed by all.
