Dorothy, 95, died at Mercy Hospital Tuesday. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Saturday with the family greeting at 10 a.m. at Hastings Funeral Home in Jefferson. Open visitation is Friday from 1 to 8 p.m. Interment is at Violet Hill Cemetery. Survived by: three daughters, Peggy Houseman, of Bouton, IA; Alice Leehey (Jim) of Oelwein, IA and Sally Childs (Al) of Cedar Rapids, IA; Four sons, Harold Nelson (Nancy) of Boone, IA; Robert Nelson (Karen) of Spanaway, WA; John Nelson (Nancy) of Cedar Rapids, IA; Jack Nelson (Cathy) of Omaha, NE; a daughter-in-law Joyce Flanders of Ankeny, IA; eighteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren, one great great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. ~ The Des Moines (IA) Register Thurs 09 Feb 2012.
