Page 9, Column 2Mary Claire Barr, 88, died Saturday, May 27, 2006 in Garland, Texas.
Graveside memorial services were held Saturday, June 3 at the Dexter Cemetery in Dexter.
Mary was born Sept. 5, 1917 in Casey, the daughter of Peter Hogan and Nellie (Hearn) Hogan. She graduated from Casey High School and on July 7, 1937 she married Lee Lenocker Barr in Bethany, Mo.
Mary worked for Douglas Aircraft Co. in Chicago, Ill. and Tulsa, Okla. during World War II and the Korean War, performing clerical duties associated with the production of military aircraft. After leaving Iowa in 1942, Mary lived in various locations, mostly in Texas and Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by one sister, three brothers and her husband, Lee.
She is survived by her son, Robert; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Kuhn Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
