Dr. Steve Seung-Koo Lee, 68, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at Mercy West Lakes. A visitation will be held on Friday, April 1 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hamilton's on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines, with a vigil service at 7 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 2 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1627 Grand in West Des Moines.

Dr. Lee was born in Kimpo, South Korea on September 29, 1942. He attended Koryo University in Seoul, South Korea. He was a longtime physician of pathological medicine at Mercy Medical Center.

He will be greatly missed by his wife Joyce; sons, Keith (Jeri Lyn Reinhardt) Lee and Kevin Lee; daughter, Jean Lee (Matthew) Cole; and sister, Yang-Koo Seo.
