Lowell Dean Scott, 59, of Urbandale, passed away peacefully at home, January 17th, with family members at his side after a courageous battle with cancer. Lowell was born February 21st, 1949, to E. Gene Scott & Ruby Scott of Davis City, IA. Lowell graduated from Leon High School.

He was employed as a plumber for 42 years with L.A. Fulton & Sons, mechanical contractors. Lowell enjoyed his family, pets, hunting, fishing and spending time on the golf course.

Lowell is survived by his wife, Stephanie; daughter, Luci Crandall; son, Lansing (Tracy) Scott; and five grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother, Ruby Scott; brothers, Lyle (Janice) Scott, Loren Scott; his sisters, Judy King and Sandy Scott; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncle.

Lowell is preceded in death by his father, E. Gene Scott.

There will be a Memorial Service at 2 p.m., Monday, January 19, 2009, at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines, Iowa. ~ The Des Moines Register, Des Moines, IA July 18, 2009.
