Young Husband Dies in Arizona

REFFIELD: Roger Eugene Nelson, 24, who was married to Joyce Smith of Earlham, formerly of Redfield, in June, 1970, succumbed to an unexpected heart failure resulting from a severe asthma attack while in a doctor’s office at Tempe, Ariz. He was an outstanding freshman law student at Arizona State University at Phoenix, Ariz. Services were held Oct. 12 at Mackey Church at Story City, Iowa.

Joyce Smith Nelson was a graduate of Dexfield high school and Methodist School of Nursing. She was engaged in nursing in Arizona, but at present is back at Earlham with her folks. The young couple had no children.
