Dexter NewsOscar Hill, commonly known as “Sissor” passed away Saturday morning in the Veterans hospital in Des Moines at the age of 63 years. He moved with his parents, sisters and brothers to a farm southwest of Dexter from Illinois in 1906. After the death of his parents he worked on farms around Dexter until his health failed.
Services were held Monday afternoon, December 19, in the Evans Funeral Home in Dexter with Rev. A. C. Weber officiating.
One brother, Orville preceded him in death. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. William Doherty of Long Beach, Calif. and Mrs. Bernice Dodds of Burbank, Calif.; one brother, Russell of Ottumwa. He was a cousin of Jim Hill of Dexter and the late Lewis Hill. Interment was at the Dexter cemetery.
