Arthur Nick Joura, 85, passed away a home on July 16, 2013. A memorial visitation will be held at Hamilton's on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. with a short memorial service at 6:30 p.m. The committal service will be at Iowa Veterans Cemetery the following morning at 9:30 a.m.

Art was born on January 2, 1928 in Olin, IA to Sophia (Latare) and Nickolas Arthur Joura. He graduated from Olin High School and joined the Navy. He served on the USS Iowa then the submarine USS Diablo. He founded Data Business Equipment, Inc. in 1968, sold the business and retired in the mid 80's. Art enjoyed spending time with his family and the outdoors. He was also a member of the Izaak Walton League and enjoyed golfing and fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Roberta; children, Larry Joura, Sue (Kent Freel) Joura-Freel, and Greg (Patti Reser) Joura; grandchildren, Jorden Joura Smith and Mick Reser Joura.
