DALAS CENTER, IA – Sadie G. Casler, 89, of Dallas Center died of a heart ailment Wednesday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital at Des Moines. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Brethren in Christ Church. Burial will be in brethren Cemetery.

Mrs. Casler was born in Dallas County and had lived in Dallas Center for 40 years. She was a homemaker and a member of brethren in Christ Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Pauline Hartman of Dallas Center; four brothers, W. Frank Lutz and Richard Lutz, both of Des Moines, Murlin Lutz of Biloxi, Miss., and Paul Lutz of Portland, In.; two sisters, Mattie Hershey of Fairfield and Ethel Butler of Dallas Center; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

DALLAS CENTER -- A funeral for Sadie G. Casler, 89, of Dallas Center was held Oct. 3, 1986 at the Brethren in Christ Church here. Mrs. Casler died of a heart ailment on Oct. 1 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital at Des Moines.

She was born March 18, 1897 in Dallas County. In May 1920, she married Frank E. Casler, and they lived in Colorado for a short time before moving to Adel for about 10 years. They also lived for a time in California before becoming Dallas Center residents. Mrs. Casler had lived in Dallas Center for the past 40 years, where she was a homemaker and a member of the Brethren in Christ Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Pauline Hartman of Dallas Center; four brothers, W. Frank Lutz and Richard Lutz, both of Des Moines, Merlin Lutz of Biloxi, Miss. and Paul Lutz of Portland, Ind.; two sisters, Mattie Hershey of Fairfield and Ethel Butler of Dallas Center; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
