Keith Michael Griggs, 65, of Dallas Center, entered eternal life on November 10, 2011 following a brave battle with cancer. The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, November 14, at Lutheran Church of Hope in West Des Moines, where a Celebration of Keith's Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 15. Committal services with military honors will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, at Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Adel.

Keith was born February 15, 1946, to Raymond and Lola Bernadine Griggs. He grew up in Grimes and graduated from Dallas Center-Grimes in 1964. Keith proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1966 to 1970. He worked full-time for the Iowa Air National Guard and upon retirement from the IANG, he worked for the American Legion and was a National Service Officer for the Paralyzed Veterans of America. He was a proud member of ABATE and PGR. He was also an active member of the Des Moines HOG and the Christian Motorcycle Association.He treasured his family, especially playing with his grandchildren. Keith loved riding his Harley and spending time with his many friends and beloved dog, "Yogi".

He is survived by his daughters, Amy (Craig) Mueggenberg of Marion and Sarah (Nick) Irlmeier of Grimes; four precious grandchildren, Emily and Luke Mueggenberg and Paige and Cole Irlmeier; one niece, Heather (Eric) Nelson; and one nephew, Chad Gilleney.
