Graveside military honors will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Canfield Cemetery near Ivy, Iowa for Delbert W. Haws, 88 of Perry, Ia. Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Friday, June 15,2012 with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. at Murdock Funeral Home in Perry.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Library Fund for Lighthouse for the Blind and Ivy Centenial Methodist Church Memorial Fund.

Delbert passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Taylor Hospice House in Des Moines,Ia. He was born August 15, 1923 the son of Roy and Vivian (Jones) Haws in Norwalk, Iowa. Del married Mildred "Midge" Warren on March 22, 1946 in Des Moines. Del owned and operated Haws Implement a John Deere dealership for many years in Perry.

Survivors include his wife Midge Haws of Perry; two daughters Sandra (Dennis) Pennington of Perry and Linda (Dan Gregory) Adels of Houston, Texas; one sister Lucille Harding of Grand Jct., Colorado; four grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren along with nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Susan and one sister.
