Robert W. Jones, 83, passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2004. Bob was born and raised in Dallas Center, Iowa, moved to Des Moines after retiring and lived the last eight years in Mesa, Arizona. Bob was a veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Maxine Jones; his sister, Dorothy Hawbaker of Dallas Center; two daughters, Geneva Merical of Scottsdale, AZ, and Judy Edgington of Cave Creek, AZ; a son, Terry (Denise) Jones of Omaha, NE; seven grandchildren, Steve (Sue) Merical of St. Charles, IL, Julie (Rob) Kramer of E. Dubuque, IL, Dave (Teri) Merical of Ankeny, Dr. Nicholas (Nancy) Edgington of New Haven, CT, Jonathan Edgington of Scottsdale, AZ, and Aaron and Kali Jones of Omaha, NE; and seven great-grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lucy Jones; a brother, William Jones; and a sister, Irene Carty.

Private graveside services were held September 3, 2004 in Grimes, IA.
