OBITUARY
Permillia Fink Sloan, daughter of John and Elvira Fink, was born in Carroll County, Iowa June 4,1869, and answered the summons December 16, 1942, at the age of 73 years, 6 months and 12 days.
On March 24, 1887, she was united in marriage to George W. Sloan who passed away in 1916.To this union 8 children were born, five daughters and three sons. They are Glen Sloan, Muscatine , Iowa: Mrs. Lucille Countryman, who passed away in 1934: Mrs. Marge Conrad of Omaha, Nebraska: Morris Sloan of Des Moines: Mrs. Sadie Corbley, Des Moines: Mrs. Doris Carter, Chicago: Mrs. Kathryn Merical, Perry: and Ralph Sloan, Des Moines, also an adopted daughter Mrs. Ruby Williams of Chicago. There is one brother, P.L. Fink of Des Moines and one sister Mrs. Kate Brown of Spokane, Washington. One sister Mrs. Anna Combs, preceded her in death in 1918. She also leaves to mourn her passing 28 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Her home was in Redfield, Iowa during the whole of her married life to 1934. While a resident of Redfield, she was received into membership of the Redfield Methodist Church. In 1943, she entered the Dallas County Hospital as an invalid. While confined to a wheelchair she was a patient sufferer, and was loved by all who associated with her. Blessed are they who rest in the Lord.
