WARRANTY DEED
Henry McLellan and Carrie McLellan to Frank J. and Christine Slaninger 1921

Know All Men by these Presents:
That Henry McLellan and Carrie McLellan, his wife of the County of Dallas and State of Iowa, in consideration of the sum of Sixteen Thousand Dollars in hand paid by Frank J. and Christine Slaninger of Dallas County and State of Iowa do hereby sell and convey unto the said Frank J. and Christine Slaninger and to their heirs and assigns the following described premises, situated in the county of Dallas and State of Iowa to-wit:

Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section number Twenty Two Township Eighty Range Twenty eight West 5th Iowa Containing forty acres more or less. Subject to a mortgage of Seven Thousand Dollars in favor of Thomas Harrison and of record, which purchaser hereby assumes and agrees to pay.

[We] do hereby covenant with said Frank J. and Christine Slaninger that we are lawfully seized of said premises; that they are free from incumbrance except as above stated, that we have good right and lawful authority to sell and convey same, and we do hereby covenant to warrant and defend the said premises against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever; and the grantors aforesaid hereby relinquish all contingent rights, including right of dower and homestead which they have in and to the said described premises.

On this first of March A.D. 1921, before me personally came Henry McLellan and Carrie McLellan, his wife to me personally known to be the identical persons named in and whose names are affixed to the above deed as grantors and acknowledged the execution of the same to be their voluntary act and deed.
