WARRANTY DEED
J.A. Mark and S.J. Mark to Independent District Township of Washington 1894

Know All Men by these Presents: That J.A. Mark and S.J. Mark husband and wife of Dallas County and State of Iowa in consideration of the sum of Thirty and no/100 Dollars in hand paid by Independent District Township of Washington of Dallas County and State of Iowa do hereby sell and convey unto the said Independent District Township of Washington the following described premises, situated in the County of Dallas and State of Iowa, to-wit:

Commencing at a point Seven (7) rods North of the South East corner of the South East quarter (1/4) of the South East quarter (1/4) of Section Twenty Six (26) Township Eighty (80) North, of Range Twenty Eight (28) running thence North Five (5) rods, thence west Twelve (12) rods, thence South Five (5) rods, thence East Twelve (12) rods to place of beginning.

It is expressly understood that as a part of the consideration hereof the said Independent District Township of Washington expressly agrees that subsequent to the date hereof they will not ask or demand any additional land to that above described.

And we hereby covenant with the said Independent District Township of Washington that we hold said premises by good and perfect title; that we have good right and lawful authority to sell and convey the same; that they are free and clear of all liens and incumbrances whatsoever.

And we covenant to WARRANT AND DEFEND the said premises against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever.

And the said S.J. Mark hereby relinquishes her right in and to the above described premises.

On the 21st day of March A.D. 1894 before me the undersigned a Notary Public within and for said County, personally came J.A. Mark and S.J. Mark husband and wife personally to me known to be the identical person whose names are affixed to the above instrument as grantors and severally acknowledged the execution of the same to be their voluntary act and deed for the purposes therein expressed.
