Seventh Annual Commencement of Perry High School May 24th 1889 at the Opera Hall The Seventh Annual Commencement of the Perry High School took place at the Opera Hall on Friday evening last, every available seat in the Hall being occupied and in fact engaged several days before the date of the exercises. Those who received diplomas were:

Maude Cowden, valedictorian; Effa Bills, salutatorian; Carrie Forgrave; William T. Roberts, Josephine Anderson, George Bonine; Willie Mowrer
