William Thomas Garadiner (1858-1938) was my great grand father's brother. He was married in Unity, Maryland to Lydia Ensley. For some unknow reason he traveled West, where his beloved wife, Lydia died in child birth. Their son, Lee E. Gardiner was christened in Maryland and we speculate that he returned and had his in-laws, the Ensley's, raise Lee for a few years. Later while viewing the census we see that Lee eventually made it back out West. Will, remarried a woman named, Mary Jospehine Gamber, and went to have many more children. According to the census they moved a few time from Idaho to North Dakota and South Dakota. Both of Will's wives are buried in Menlo, Iowa.
