Funeral services for Mrs. Ellen Lingren of Arthur was held at 2 o'clock Saturday at the Evangelical Free Church in Arthur, burial in the Hayes Cemetery. She was born January 1, 1895 at Alghult, Kronoborg, Småland, Sweden and died March 26,195 8 at Buena Vista Hospital in Storm Lake after a lingering illness of cancer. She married Algot J. Lingren, who preceded her in death April 27, 1955.

Survivors include eight children; Iver of Alta, Virginia McGee of Vancouver, British Columbia, Verna Devlin of Anchorage, Alaska, Betty Olson of Lincoln, NE, Paul of Arthur, Lois Rydberg of Arthur, Richard of Southgate, CA and Dennis of Arthur. She also has fourteen grandchildren, two sisters, Anna Ostrani and Esther Johnson and two brothers, Oscar Anderson and Verner Anderson of Sweden. One daughter, Ruth preceded her in death in 1934.
