At the home of her son, A. Anderson in Hayes Township, on April 2nd in the morning occurred the death of Widow Anna Anderson. She had not been seriously sick long, but has been troubled with a weak heart for some time.
The funeral services was held at the home at 1 p.m. on April 4th and was attended by her many neighbors and friends. Her old pastor, Rev. John Johnson, preached the text found in Psalms, 39: 5-6. After the services the people followed the remains to the cemetery in Hayes township, where Mrs. Anderson was laid to rest. At the grave the pastor read from John, 5th chapter 25th to 29th verses, and after repeating the Lord's prayer the people departed to their different homes.
The deceased was born on the 26th day of Feb. 1826 in Halland of Sweden. She was married to Anders Borgeson, and nine children, five sons and four daughters, were born to this union. Three sons and a daughter are living in this country. Three of them were present at the funeral -- Anders Anderson, John Anderson of Odebolt and Mrs. C. A. Carlson and their families.
Mrs. Anderson and husband came to this country in 1888 and have lived with their children since. They have had the best of care at all times. Mr. Anderson died about 12 years ago and is buried in the same cemetery. They now rest side by side to await the Resurrection Day.
