ESTIMABLE LADY DEAD

Mrs. John G. Danielson Passes
Away at Her Home in Southeast
Denison Monday Morning

Mrs. John G. Danielson died at her home in East Denison on Monday morning at 6 o’clock after an illness of a week’s duration. Mrs. Danielson suffered a paralytic stroke on Tuesday morning of last week while preparing breakfast and from day to day grew weaker until death followed.

Johana Amelia Youngberg was born near Stockholm, Sweden, on the 28th day of October, 1844, and thus almost 71 years of age at the time of her death. She was united in marriage to Mrs. John Gustave Danielson on October 26th, 1873. While in Sweden three children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Danielson, namely: Gustav Emmanuel, who died infancy, Charles Victor, now residing in Marshfield, Ore., and Augusta Wilhelmina, now residing at home. In May, 1882, the family came to America and located at Denison, where one son, George Burton was born and who now lives in Minnesota.

Mrs. Danielson was a woman of devout Christian character and early in life she united with the Swedish Mission Church. Sometime after coming to Denison she united with the Methodist Episcopal Church, where she retained her membership until called to the church triumphant. She was a woman who was loved by all who knew her and was held in high esteem by a large circle of friends and acquaintances. Besides her husband and three children she leaves to mourn her death one brother who lives in Sweden.

Funeral services were held from the family residence at 2 o’clock on Tuesday afternoon. Rev J. L. Boyd, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal Church, officiated, after which interment was made in Oakland Cemetery.
