Page: 1Died-On Thursday, the 3rd, inst., of pulmonary consumption, Mrs. Sarah J., wife of Isaac Patterson. At last the grim monster has performed its deadly office. But the enraptured spirit is ushered in that bright realm where there are no couches of languishing, no scenes of anguish, to clasp the extended arms of little Josie, now a bright winged seraph, to be no more separated forever. Two golden cords have been loosened from earth and cast over the heavenly shore to draw the afflictions of the sadly bereaved one and direct his aspirations toward the glory crowned hills of the Eternal World. A large concourse of sympathizing friends assembled at her late residence on Friday afternoon to pay the last tribute of respect to the departed. The exercises were conducted by Rev. Mr. Curl who preached a solemn and impressive discourse.
