Word was received in Denison yesterday afternoon that Mrs. A.J. Gary died at the home of her son, Eugene Gary, at Independence, Kans., after a short illness. Mr. and Mrs. Gary left Denison about two weeks ago to spend the holidays at the home of their son and only a few days after their arrival Mrs. Gary contracted a severe case of pneumonia. Their daughter, Miss Pearl, who is a trained nurse, was summoned to Denison a week ago to help care for her mother during the illness.

Word was received in Denison this morning that the body will be shipped here for burial and will arrive on Thursday. Arrangements have not been made for the funeral service, pending the arrival of the family.
