Jimmy Lee Hollander was born September 23, 1968, the son of Arnold and Ruth Ferguson Hollander. He died Thursday, September 27, 2007 at his home in Denison, Iowa at the age of thirty-nine.

Jimmy was born in Omaha, Nebraska and grew up in Denison, Iowa. He received his education at the Denison Community Schools and after completing his education he began roofing and working on night clean-up at IBP. On February 20, 1999, Jimmy was united in marriage to Connie Kroeger and made their home in Denison.

He was a wonderful husband and father who enjoyed spending time taking his family to the park and fishing. He also enjoyed watching football and mushroom hunting.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Survivors include his wife, Connie of Denison; two daughters, Cassandra and Jessica Hollander, both of Denison; one son, Michael Blunk of Denison; one step-daughter, Tenessa Blasey of Denison; his parents, Arnold and Ruth Hollander of Denison; two sisters, Barb O'Brien and her husband, Pat of Denison; Sharon Stropes and her husband, Tim of Denison; four brothers, Willard Pressley and his wife, Bernice of Denison; Carey Hollander of San Marcos, Texas; Brad Hollander and his wife, Linda of Roseville, California; Scott Hollander of Roseville, California; his mother-in-law, Marilyn Blevins and her husband, John of Deloit; his father-in-law, Richard Kroeger and his wife, JoAnn of Arion; two brothers-in-law, Rick Kroeger of Deloit and Jason Kroeger and his finance, Samantha Hottendorf of Manilla; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held 2 p.m., Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison, Iowa. Rev. Kurt Kaiser officiated the services and grave side rites held at Crawford Heights Memory Gardens in Denison, Iowa. Organist Karen Kahl provided accompaniment for the musical selections "The Old Rugged Cross," "I'm But A Stranger Here." and "What A Friend We Have in Jesus." Those serving as Honorary Pallbearers were Gene Presley, Chris Jepsen, Vincent Jepsen, and Bill Jones. Those serving as Pallbearers were Jack Chandler, Pat O'Brien Jr., Jason Kroeger, Dustin O'Brien, Michael Blunk, and Dean Boger. The family invited everyone in attendance to join them for fellowship and lunch served by the Ladies Aid. The Huebner Funeral Home in Denison was in charge of the arrangements.
