Martin J. Hansen, age 65, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, died Sunday, August 12, 2007, at home.

Martin was born October 6, 1941, in Denison, Iowa, to the late Andrew P. and Bernice (Fineran) Hansen. Martin served 22 years in the U.S. Army were he attained the rank of Master Sergeant. Martin was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Martin worked as a contractor in his own business Fix It Corp.

Martin is survived by wife, Regina of Council Bluffs; sons, Joe Hansen of Sioux City, Curtis Hansen and Tina Harder of Council Bluffs; grandchildren Cody, Dallas and Jamie; stepsons, Douglas, Robert, and Mark Barlow, all of Council Bluffs; brother, Jim Hansen and wife, Linda of Waterloo, Iowa.

Wake service will be held Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home with visitation to follow. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Rev. Paul Monahan officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Lawn Cemetery with graveside military honors given by American Legion Rainbow Post #2. Luncheon to follow at St. Patrick Fellowship Hall.

Memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
