RoseMary Sharp was born September 12, 1928, the daughter of Rudolph and Winifred Kessler Adams. She died Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison, Iowa at the age of seventy-eight.

RoseMary was born on a farm near Charter Oak and received her education in the Ute Community School and graduated from the Ute Community High School. On July 16, 1946, RoseMary was united in marriage to Vinton Sharp and to this union ten children were born.

RoseMary worked as a CNA, Medical Aide, and Activity Director at the Eventide Nursing Home for many years. She enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs, attending garage sales and clipping coupons for all the family. She also enjoyed word search puzzles but especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, a granddaughter, Annie Cross and a grandson, Matthew Lahr. Four brothers, Vince, Wayne, Clarence and Frank Adams, a brother-in-law, Willard Olson and three sisters-in-law, Agnes, Dorothy and Burdette. Survivors include her husband of sixty years, Vinton of Dow City; seven daughters, Vicki Sharp and special friend, Randy TenEyck of Dow City; Cathy Cross and her husband, Dwayne of Albany, Missouri; Ronda Rosch and her husband, Jim of Ida Grove; Laurie Sharp and special friend, Jay Eggers of Denison; Carleen Sharp and special friend, Darren Thompson of Denison; Anita Sharp of Kailua, Hawaii; and Mariellen Sharp of Dow City; three sons, David Sharp and his wife, Claudean of LaGrande, Oregon; Daniel and his wife, Debra of Cascade Locks, Oregon; and Tom Sharp and his wife, Marilyn of Denison; thirty-two grandchildren; thirty-seven great-grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; one sister, Regina Olson of Galva; one brother, Paul Adams of Portland, Oregon; a sister-in-law, Lois Adams of Dow City and a special friend, Carleen Green of Dow City; along with many other relatives and friends.

A Vigil Service & Legion of Mary Rosary was held at 6 p.m., Sunday, March 25, 2007, at Huebner Funeral Home, Denison, Iowa. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 26, 2007, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Dow City, Iowa. Fr. Donald Slaven served as Celebrant with interment at Dow City Cemetery in Dow City. Music was provided by EveVonne Muff who sang the hymns, "How Great Thou Art," On Eagle's Wings," and "Be Not Afraid." Honorary pallbearers were RoseMary's granddaughters. Pallbearers were: Chance Sweeden, James Sharp, Tyler Sharp, Jared Sharp, James Cross, Jesse Cross, T.J. Rosch, Brian Rosch, Jeff Lampe, Roger Lahr, Nick Lahr, and Michael Wood. The family invited everyone in attendance to join them for fellowship and lunch served by St. Mary's Altar Guild at the Community Building. The Huebner Funeral Home in Denison was in charge of arrangements.
