Kevin Wayne Meseck was born March 7, 1961, the son of DuWayne and Marilyn Meadows Meseck. He died Tuesday, December 5, 2006 in Ute, Iowa at the age of forty-five.

Kevin was born in Denison, Iowa and received his education in the Charter Oak-Ute Community School System. He was baptized in Christ on April 2, 1961 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ute and later confirmed there on March 23, 1975. On April 29, 1978, Kevin was united in marriage to Cindy Head. The couple made their home on a farm near Ute and were blessed with the birth of three sons, Jason, Adam and Luke.
He was engaged in farming, worked for MCI, was self employed as a carpenter and Internet business. Kevin was married to Toni Shea on June 26, 1993, they made their home in Ute, Ames and later moving to Boone. They were blessed with three children, Tia, Jeremiah and Cody. In 2005, Kevin moved to Corydon, Iowa.

Kevin was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ute. He was a very loving and caring father, son and brother who enjoyed spending time with his family. He also enjoyed landscaping, fishing, camping and boating. In his leisure time, he enjoyed foosball, ping pong and watching football, especially the Philadelphia Eagles.

He was preceded in death by two infant sons, Jason and Jeremiah, his mother, Marilyn, his maternal grandparents, Allen and Florence Meadows and his paternal grandfather, Walter Meseck.

Survivors include three sons, Adam Meseck and special friend, Trisha of Battle Creek; Luke Meseck and special friend, Diane of Ames; Cody Meseck of Corydon; one daughter, Tia Meseck and special friend Cory, of Corydon; his father, DuWayne Meseck; two sisters, Kim Creese and her husband, Bill; Kerry Vinke and her husband, Brian (Leon) Vinke; one brother, Korey Meseck and his wife, Amy, all of Ute; his paternal grandmother, Vera Meseck of Manilla Manor; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held on Friday, December 8, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ute. Reverend Ed Brandt officiated the service and grave side rites. Burial was at St. Clair Cemetery just outside of Ute. Lynette Thies was the organist and accompanied the congregation for the songs, "What a Friend We Have in Jesus," "Amazing Grace," and "Nearer My God to Thee." Pallbearers were Tyler Leitz, Matt Leitz, Leon Vinke, Bill Creese, Jeremy Creese, and Korey Meseck. The family invited everyone back to the church for a luncheon served by the Ladies Aid. The Huebner Funeral Home in Denison was in charge of the arrangements.
