Those left to mourn his death are his wife, six sons, Louis, Peter, Jr., Franz, Henry, Herman, and Bernhard, three daughters, Mrs. Williams Berens, Mrs. Henry Buter, and Mrs. Peter Pederson, all of Dunlap. He also leaves one brother, Nick, of Sterling, Ill., a sister, Mrs. Peter Harms of Bryant, Iowa, and 25 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Lutheran church in Denison, and burial followed in the Oakland cemetery at that place.
