In Response To: Anna Adam and Phillip (Golobitsch) Gollobit (John Schulte)

I noticed in the 1870 U.S. Census of the farming communities around Waterford Township, Clinton County, Iowa at least two families of Gollobiths: 1) Anna (age 73, presumably b. 1797 or 1796): Sons John (age 35, presumably b. 1835 or 1834) and Jacob (age 30, presumably b. 1840 or 1839, most likely the Jacob Gollobit at sugar creek 1839-1922). I have Jacob's picture, his obituary, etc. 2)Matthias Gollobith, age 22, probably the Matthias who was the postmaster at Riggs beginning around 1882; presumed wife Mary Ann Pinter Gollobith age 14; mother of I. Anna Margaret Gollobith b. 1872, II. Mary Gollobith O'Meara 1874-1899 who died 5 days after giving birth to Mary Charlotte "Marie" O'Meara 5/19/1899-12/29/1967--died 5/24/1899. III. John b. 1880 IV. Henry J. b.1886 V. Rose S. b. 1884 VI. Stella Mears b. 1899 after Matthias died. Married P. Mears 1897. Not sure if they are related but Mary Charlotte "Marie" O'Meara had sisters Gladys O'Meara (b. 1896 d. 1912 at Smith Ranch south of Alvord, Lyon Co., IA one day after appendicitis operation, and Evelyn O'Meara 1897-1990. All three girls grew up in different familys incl. afore-mentioned Smith, Peter O'Dowd, John Clark, Fred and Helen Wolever. Helen and Evelyn listed as cousins 1920 U.S.Census, Sterling (?), Logan Co., CO. Helen Gollobith Wolever was a daughter of Jacob. I have many pictures of all three O'Meara girls as a result of a camera buff in Mary Charlotte "Marie" O'Meara Reilly. Inherited pictures as Bernard P. Reilly (1882-1972) and Marie were my grandparents and my mother Rose Reilly Norquist's mom and dad. I would appreciate contact by anyone who has stories about my greats and great-greats! I was b. 1955, the same year Bernard P. Reilly's mother Mary Ann Nichols Reilly (1859-1955), also a camera buff, died.
