In Response To: William C Mohr and Caroline Wenzel (Peggy Kelly)

Peggy, Your Mohr family appear to have spent their early Iowa years in Center twp. (Elvira would be the prominent town). They were still there in 1900. The Frances Banta Waggoner library in De Witt has old De Witt Observers on film. Seem to be missing 1902 & 1920 tho but might contact them to confirm. The library does have Clinton co. marriages from Nov. 1840- Jan 1855.The 1900 Indicates William C. & Carolina MOEHR had been married circa 40 yrs. Since you have the death dates might also contact the Root Cellar at the Clinton library for obit or death notice. In 1870 Center twp. where William & Caroline are indexed on Ancestry as MOSE is especially interesting since other MOSE & Wencel names are on the same page. Dick
