The Clinton Herald Tuesday May 25, 1954 p 11 Mrs. George W. (Clara) Fatchett, 78, of 422 2nd Ave. S. died about 8:30 p.m. Monday shortly after being admitted to Mercy hospital. Funeral services will be held in the Bragonier-Fay funeral home at 2 p.m. Thursday. Rev. M.S. Bredow will officiate. Burial will be in Prairie Union cemetery near Low Moor. Mrs. Fatchett was born Nov. 17, 1875, at West Side to Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Scott. She was married in June, 1895, to George W. Fatchett. The couple farmed near Foletts for 40 years. Since January she had been residing here with a son, Howard Fatchett. Other survivors are a son, Harvey Fatchett; a brother, Walter Scott, DeWitt, and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, who died in 1945.
