The Clinton Herald Wednesday November 16, 1921 p. 8 John Fatchett passed away at 6:35 o'clock last evening at Jane Lamb hospital, where he had been a patient for the past five weeks, death resulting from complications following an operation which was performed last Saturday morning. The deceased was born October 9, 1844, in Hopewell, Washington county, Mo., and at the time of his passing was 77 years old. His wife preceded him in death twenty-six years ago. For the past ten years he had made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Alfred Moore. Mr. Fatchett had been a long and patient sufferer. He leaves to mourn his death four children, George Fatchett of near Folletts, Mrs. E. Kitchen near Low Moor, Mrs. Alfred Moore of Lyons, and John Fatchett of DeWitt. He also leaves four sisters and two brothers. The body has been taken to the home of his daughter, Mrs. Alfred Moore, at the corner of Twelfth and Commercial streets, where funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 1:00 o'clock at the home with further services at the Lyons Methodist church, Rev. E.G. Hunt officiating. Interment will be inj Union cemetery at Low Moor.
