The Clinton Herald Thursday September 21, 1978 p. 9 Harry A. Price, 77, Bluff Terrace, life-long resident of Clinton, died Wednesday evening in Jane Lamb Memorial Hospital following a long illness. He formerly resided at the Sarah Harding Home. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Snell-Zornig Funeral Home, with the Rev. Paul Binder of First Congregtional Church officiating. A Masonic Rose Croix service will be held in conjunction with the service. Burial will be in Clinton Memorial Park Cemetery and visitation will be from 3 until 9 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Dwight Price, William Price, Harry Schawl, Lyle Schawl, George Kruse and Lawrence Kynett. Honorary pallbearers will be James Shidlds and Richard Emmons. Mr. Price was born Aug. 9, 1901, in Clinton, son of Henry and Margaret Belles Price. He married Ellen Singer on Sept. 21, 1937, in Maquoketa. She died in 1971 and he married Marie Nielsen on Aug. 9, 1972 in Clinton. He retired in 1967 from the Iowa State Department of Labor where he was an inspector for about 20 years. He was a member of Western Star 100, Clinton Consistory, U.C.T. and First Congregational Church. Survivors include his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Ron (Alice) Hofer, Camanche, a son, John E., Houston, Tex.; two grandchildren; two step-daughters, Mrs. Alice Briggs, La Mesa, Calif., and Mrs. Ruby Hubbart, Camanche, and two brothers, Tom H. and Lyle S. Price, both of Clinton. Mr. Price was preceded in death by his first wife, four brothers and three sisters.
