Stricken with a heart attack, Mrs. Delia Byrge, 55, 209 South Third street, fell to the street and died almost instantly at 4 p.m. Monday in front of 240 Third avenue South. Just before she was stricken, Mrs. Byrge had paused to talk to a young girl, Kay Garber and to hand the child an orange. Almost simultaneously, Mrs. Byrge collapsed, passed into a coma and died. A call for the coroner brought an assistant who found life was extinct. The body was moved to the Snell funeral home. Police officers were summoned to the scene by Mrs. F.H. Bickford, 236 Third avenue South, an aunt of the Garber child. They found the stricken woman lying on the ground between the sidewalk and the curbing where she had fallen.
