The Clinton Herald Wednesday October 1, 1997 p. 7 Word has been received of the death of Catherine Leslie Iten, 90, of Naples, Fla., formerly of Clinton, who died Aug. 28 in Naples. A memorial graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Springdale Cemetery, with the Rev. Stephen Petro of First Baptist Church officiating. She was born Sept. 13, 1906, in Clinton, to James and Grace MacGregor Leslie. She married Louis F. Iten, Dec. 28, 1927, in Clinton. He died Nov. 27, 1993. She attended the Clinton Schools, and was a graduate of University of Iowa. She was a former member of First Baptist Church, Clinton, Chapter HV of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, DAR and the Society of Mayflower Descendents. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Grace (William) Vickerstaff of Minocqua, Wis., Mrs. Frances (Donald) Hart of Mount Dora, Fla., and Mrs. Margaret (John) Murphy of Oconomowoc, Wis.; a son, Louis J. Iten of Hollywood, Fla; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mragaret Foster of Midland, Texas. death date: Aug. 28, 1997.
